Mikah Sharkey: Scene One, Take One

Synopsis

A compelling portrait of Mikah Sharkey, a Vancouver-based cinematographer navigating the friction between the rigid "brotherhood" of the camera department and her authentic identity. The film traces her evolution from the performance of masculinity to the clarity of her true self, exploring the kinship found in artistic circles and the profound moment of being truly seen. A story of resilience, technical mastery, and the courage to stop "putting on a boy.”
