“"The Pig and the Society" is a thought-provoking short documentary that masterfully captures the complexities of Miami's homelessness through a Brazilian filmmaker's eyes. The film stands out for its raw, unfiltered portrayal of a societal issue often glossed over by the glitz and glamour associated with the city. "The Pig and the Society" also excels in its technical aspects. Super 8 footage adds a nostalgic, almost timeless quality to the film, while the street photography captures the raw beauty and harsh realities of Miami's urban landscape. The soundtrack, featuring a blend of ambient and classical music, enhances the emotional impact of the visuals.”
