“Divoff still kills it as the Djinn, and though _Wishmaster 2_ is far superior to either of the films in the franchise that follow it, instead of taking everything that worked about the first movie and expanding upon it, _Evil Never Dies_ takes only half of the things that worked in the first film and then does less with them. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._”
“The sequel to the original Wishmaster film from 1999 where Andrew Divoff reprises the role of Demerest, the wish granting Djinn. Holly Fields portrays Morgana, a thief who accidentally releases a wish-granting Djinn from a cursed fire opal. The demon must collect 1001 souls to begin an apocalypse, forcing the thief to confront her guilt through sacrificial redemption & succeeding it in sealing the Djinn back within the stone.”
