““Crappy Christmas: Operation Christmas Child” by Jürgen Kling is a powerful and thought-provoking claymation film that delves into dark and challenging territory. The use of clay figures to tell such a serious story creates a striking contrast that makes it even more impactful. It’s unsettling and difficult to watch at times, but it leaves a lasting impression and invites serious reflection. The film tackles tough subjects with raw honesty, approaching the material directly without shying away. While it’s not an easy watch, it’s this very boldness that makes it worth experiencing. For those open to a film that pushes boundaries and provokes thought, this one will definitely leave its mark. It’s a challenging yet rewarding viewing experience that encourages deep reflection and important conversations.”
